The short version
Cubons stores the minimum it needs to run your account, never sells your data,
and lets you export or delete everything yourself, in one click, at any time.
What we collect
- Google sign-in profile — your Google account id, email address, display name and avatar URL. That is the entire scope we request (openid, email, profile). We never see your password and we get no access to your Gmail, Drive or anything else.
- Scenes you save — .cubon documents you explicitly save to your library. Scenes are private by default; a scene becomes visible to others only after you create a share link for it, and you can revoke that at any time.
- A session cookie — one httpOnly cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
- Anonymous usage statistics — we count product events (app opened, scene shared, share link clicked) together with the referrer domain and a one-way, daily-rotating hash of your IP address, used only to estimate unique visits. Raw IP addresses are never stored with events, no scene content is included, and there is no cross-site tracking and no third-party analytics. Standard web-server logs are kept briefly for security and capacity planning. Event data is deleted after 90 days.
What we do NOT collect
- Files you open in the engine without saving — they are processed entirely in your browser and never reach our servers.
- Scenes shared via Cubonize URLs (
#c=…) — the whole scene lives inside the link itself, not on our servers.
Where it lives
All account data is stored in our own database on our own server. It is not
shared with, sold to, or processed by third parties. Transport is always TLS.
Your controls
- Export — download every scene you own as one JSON bundle (account menu → Export my data).
- Delete — remove your account and all its data permanently (account menu → Delete account). Effective immediately.
- Unshare — flip any public scene back to private; the link stops working immediately.
